A typical day at Rainbow Ark consists of many different activities. Routine is very important to children so we strive to maintain a schedule that is consistent each day. A normal day looks like this:

Carpet Time

This includes lesson introduction, prayer, alphabet and number work, calendar skills, etc.

Center Time

Children rotate at various times and visit different centers to reinforce the lesson of the day through many different activities. These include reading, writing, puppet shows, blocks, play dough, and art.

Snack Time/Special Time

Snack time is part of our daily routine, then children get to have special time which includes playing outside or enjoying a game together in the gym.

April Whitehead

April is the Preschool director and teacher for 4 and 5 year olds. April has a Bachelors Degree in Elementary Education from ISU. She has been teaching at Rainbow Ark for 4 years and has been directing for 2 year. She is also a member of Antioch Christian church and volunteers in the Children’s Ministry.

Terri Gregory

Terri is an Assistant Teacher at Rainbow Ark. She is a fun, outgoing individual that brings creativity and excitement to the classroom. Along with her family, Terri has been an active member of Antioch Christian Church and volunteers in several areas.

Fees:

• A $5 (non-refundable) processing and placement fee is required at the time of enrollment. This fee covers application processing and holds a spot in our class for your child.

• Rainbow Ark Preschool participates in the Voucher Assistance Program. For more information on the voucher program see attached information.

• Classes meeting two days a week cost $55 monthly.

• Classes meeting three days a week cost $70 monthly.

• There will be an open house on June 7th from 6pm to 8pm for students and families to come meet the staff & view the facilities.
