Our Purpose:
The purpose of ACC is to unconditionally accept all people, and guide each person into an active relationship with Jesus Christ.
Our Strategy:
Loving God (Mark 12:28-30), Growing Together (Acts 2:42-47), Serving Strategically (Romans 12:4-8), Reaching Everyone (Matthew 28:18-20)
10 Core Beliefs of Antioch Christian Church:
1. We believe the Bible is our authority and is the complete word of God and that Jesus Christ is the Son of God through whom we are saved. (II Tim. 3:16;Heb. 4:12; John 1:1-3; Col. 1:15-20; John 14:6)
2. We believe that lost people matter to God and so we value spiritual seekers by aggresssively and creatively reaching out to people in our community and around the world. (Luke 5:30-32; Luke 15; Luke 19:10; Matt. 18:14; I Peter 2:9)
3. We believe excellence honors God and so we offer our best with the resources we have in all areas of ministry. (Malachi 1:6-14; Colossians 3:17&23; Proverbs 27:17)
4. We believe the Christian life should be lived out in a community of acceptance, interdependance, and relationships. This kind of Acts 2 community can best be seen in small groups... where life change happens. (Acts 2:42-47)
5. We believe that all believers should serve with joy out of spiritual giftedness. This will allow the right people to be in the right places for the right reasons. (I Corinthians 12; Ephesians 4:1-16; I Peter 4:7-11)
6. We believe in a lifestyle of worship. (Romans 12:1; John 4:19-24)
7. We believe that gifted teaching can radically transform lives, and we expect everyone to be involved in the learning experiences, maturing spiritually and becoming devoted and submissive to Christ. (Romans 10:14-17; II Timothy 3:16-17; James 1:23-25; II Cor. 13:11; Colossians 1:9-10; II Thess. 1:3; II Peter 3:18)
8. We believe in the power of prayer to move the very hand of God, and will provide meaningful oppurtunities for people to pray together. (Matt. 7:7; John 16:24; Eph. 6:18; I Thes. 5:17)
9. We believe tht church should be practical, open to change and culturally relevant without compromising the message of Christ. (Acts 15:19; Romans 1:14-15; I Corinthians 9:19-23)
10. We believe in the family and strive to educate, strengthen, nurture and support God's design of family and marriage. (Eph. 5:22-31; Eph. 6:1-4; I Timothy 5:8)
